What does a dentist do?
Dentists perform restorative and surgical dental care including fillings, root canals, cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, extractions, and more. Dentists may specialize in a number of areas including endodontics, periodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, or pedodontics.

There are two pathways for a internationally trained dentist to apply for a Maine license.
